What Causes Stinging Sensation Around The Groin Area?

Hi Doc, I have been having a stinging sensation around my public area for about 2 days now. The sensation comes and goes and it doesn t worsen with standing or sitting. Not sure if it is related to the itching that I have been having on various parts of my body lately. I am not on any medications and I haven t been trying out any new stuff, so I think allergies can be ruled out. What s happening to me?
