What Causes Stinging Sensation In The Upper Thigh While Bending Leg?

I am a 63 year old male in good health. In the past several days I have experienced an intense stinging sensation in my upper right thigh when bending my leg upon entering bed. The closest sensation I could compare it to is a bee sting. It rapidly goes away and upon examination there no evidence of a bite or sting. I thought perhaps it might be a hair being pulled, a strain in either a vessel or linguinal tissue. There is no persistent sign of a problem after the pain subsides but never having experienced something like this before I m concerned it may be a sign of something more serious. What are your thoughts? Thanks.

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, over all history could be due to sciatica, best way to get rid of this problem is have some bed rest, this could minimize the symptoms still this may needs some investigations like MRI of spine, till then you can try "Tab Chlorzoxazone with Diclofenac" once in day, some time it may be due to some functional condition and this also need to be ruled out, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
