What Causes Stinging Sensation Inside The Vagina Post Intercourse?
I ve recently ran out of birth control pills and had unprotected sex. My boyfriend ejaculated in me under the impression that I had restocked my pills. So at this moment I am freaking out. It hurt to have sex the next day and stings a little deep inside, but not when I pee. When I looked at my vagina this morning it was a pale pink but it s usually red. What might this be? We always have unprotected sex and I ve gotten yeast infections before. This looks different. We ve both been tested regularly.
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I have read your description and understand your concern. What problems you might be having could be due to abrasions in the vaginal mucosa after having intercourse. Kindly do the following to overcome the same. 1. Wash the area thoroughly using warm water and mild antiseptic solution like Savlon twice a day to maintain good genital hygiene. 2. Use Vaginal pH restoring solutions like V-Wash as instructed with the medication. 3. Take a course of Tablet. Metronidazole to prevent bacterial infection. 4. Abstain from sexual activities till you get your next periods. Use water based lubricants to achieve optimum lubrication during intercourse. Hope the information provided would be helpful. All the best.
