What Causes Stomach Ache Along With Dizziness And Cough?
Hi My son 8 y old has sharp stomach aches for a 6 days now. At the beginning we didn’t know what’s going on went to ER two ultrasounds urine and blood all good, no fever, dizziness had some flu like cough but stomach aches are still here every 5 min sometimes often sometimes mild sometimes bad aches all around belly It looks like pain is traveling through intestines. Aches/ pains are not just in one spot but rather randomly allmover stomach. We thing it is gas which both ultrasounds confirmed. How do we help him release this extra gas and what diet should he have now? Thanks you Mario from Mississauga ON
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Here are few things to try to avoid gas pains
-Eat small frequent meals.
-Avoid fatty, fried food.
-Limit lactose(diary) intake.
-Avoid carbonated drinks.
-Something can also be given to relieve gas. His pediatrician can decide the dose depending on his weight.
-Gripe water can also be tried.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
