What Causes Stomach Ache And Severe Nausea?

I had stomach pains that felt like severe nausea on Thursday of last week. I did not throw up or have diarrhea. My stomach got better but still cramped some, and I was unable to eat much for the next three days. I did not have a bowel movement until I took dulcalax for 2 nights (2 tablets per night). On Monday morning, after the second dose, I had a bowel movement. Tonight I had another bowel movement with a bloody stool. The blood was bright red. What could be going on?
