What Causes Stomach Ache, Diarrhea And Rash On The Stomach Of A Child?
My little girl is 7 years old and since yesterday she hasn t been feeling very well. Yesterday she complained that her tummy hurt. She didn t have much of an appetite but had some diarrhea. Early this morning she came into my room and was running a low grade temp (between 99.1-100.6). Tylenol has brought it down. This evening she vomited a little bit and when I helped her put on her jammies I noticed a rash on her tummy and back. Can you help me figure out what she has please?
Hi Your child is likely suffering from an enteritis that could be of viral, bacterial or parasitic origin.I will suggest you get a stool exam and culture test. You may have to see a Doctor for evaluation and test.In the meantime, you may continue tylenol, add oral rehydration salt and zinc tablets and an anti-emetic like vogalene if she vomits again.Bananas may also help to improve on the stool. As for the rash, it may be independent of her digestive problem. It could just be a local skin infection or irritation. The digestive problem happens to the most important now.See the Doctor for the Digestive problem, he will as well examine the rash and see if it is a cause for concern Hope my answer will help you Best regards
