What Causes Stomach Ache Upon Lying On The Back?

My stomach hurts when I lay down on my back. It doesn t hurt otherwise. I always sleep on my back, it s a habit. But this started a few days ago, and I m getting concerned. I also feel very nauseous in the evening after I have eaten food. Any suggestions besides medicine, like some home remedies?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

These may have to do with any problem with your gallbladder or your stomach, so you need to clear that by some examinations :

Some routine blood tests, an abdominal sonography as first step and you may need to do a fibrogastroscophy.

You can try eating more times a day with small amounts of food and probably not fatty foods.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
