What Causes Stomach Cramps And Diarrhea After Eating Food?
I have been having stomach issues for 5+ days so far. My stomach feels ok (although hungry) when I don t eat but as soon as I eat (no matter what it is) I get terrible cramps and diarrhea. Doesn t even matter if I just have something to drink - it starts.
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of stomach cramps and diarrhea after eating food which seems to be due to acute gastroenteritis which seems to be due to viral infection and electrolyte imbalance in body.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to
- Start treatment with combination of fluoroquinolones and ornidazole.
- Drink plenty of fluids to rehydrate.
- Take banana on daily basis and light food.
- Avoid giving any sharp and spicy food.
Visit gastroenterologist once and get it examined. You should go for blood tests as well and start treatment after proper examination. You should take Ibuprofen along with proton pump inhibitors as well.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
