What Causes Stomach Discomfort And Acid Reflux While On Crestor?

I am almost 77 years old and have been on Crestor for many, many years - prescribed by my cardiologist. The dosage has swung from 20 - 10 -20. I have developed what they are calling asthma. My new allergist told me to have my upper stomach looked at, which I did and the gastro found that I have silent acid reflux. My stomach irritated and he put me on 2 protonix (generic) per day. The main reason I am asking is, could the crestor, after prolonged, use cause me to develop mucus and make me extremely exhausted. I am short of breath even when walking through the house. Had chemical stress, echogram, blood work and all seem normal. I am desperate to find out what is going on. Have an apt with pulmonary dr on Friday. Could this be Crestor related.
