What Causes Stomach Pain And Pinkish Discharge During 6 Weeks Of Pregnancy?
Hi I am approx. 6 weeks pregnant and yesterday I experienced excruciating pain in my stomach and it lasted for about 4-6 hours . When I got home I noticed a pinkish discharge I am afraid that maybe I had a missed miscarriage, but I cannot get into the OBGYN office until Thursday . What should I do
* The stomach pain and pink discharge during 6 weeks of pregnancy can be a normal physiologic response in many of the women at this period.
If there is intense pelvic pain, fresh bleed ; it can be of concern. My guidelines at present
- drink more liquids
- avoid sexual intercourse ( if active )
- vaginal hygiene
- use of fresh tempons and regular changes to avoid secondary bacterial infection
* Immediately consult your OBGY in case of any doubt.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
