Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my stomach hurts, right below my rib cage. it's been hurting on and off for 5 days now. it's not a gasy, bloaty pain, but it is a sharp pain. and it feels like someone is squeezing my stomach really really hard. the pain comes and goes, but when it does hurt, it hurts REALLY BAD...and i don't have a fever, nor have i thrown up, so I don't know what's wrong.
I would recommend an ECG first, then an Ultrasound abdomen to rule out MI and Gall stones. Please fix an appointment with your doctor for the necessary workup. I would empirically recommend a two week course of a PPI such as Pantoprazole and a pro kinetic like itopride and an anti spasmodic to see for improvement
wishing you best of health
Thanks
