Yes, Thank you. I am a Thalassemia Intermediate with multiple spinal stenosis with back and right hip injury. When I take Zocor for cholesterol and prescribe Pain narcotic medicine. I feel lots of stomach pain and and feeling much fatigue and memory problems. I do not know what to do as it seems interferes with my concentration at work. I feel overwhelmed. I even forgot how to get to work driving a few times. What could be the problem??

stomach pain in your case could be a side effect of the narcotics which cause constipation and bloating. you might also want to consider an enlarging spleen which happens when blood cells break down in thalassemia major and intermedia. a recent onset of memory loss, fatigue could be secondary to vitamin B 12 deficiency which in turn could be due to folate depletion in blood cell breakdown secondary to your said disease. so please check your serum B12 and folate levels and if normal, check your thyroid function and if that also is normal please do an MRI for early Alzhiemer's.
