General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you might be having IBS, which is common in diabetics, especially when taking metformin. I advise to see a gastroenterologist and run upper endoscopy to determine the right diagnosis. Meanwhile, take simethicone and ginger for gas.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
