What Causes Stomach Pain Inspite Of Suffering From Lung Cancer?

My husband has lung cancer and is in his second year of a clinical trial. He is experiencing uncomfortable stomach pains which I believe might be a stomach ulcer. I have had one and know the sharp pain. Is there anything I can give him to relieve the pain until he can get an endoscopy. Would milk or yogurt help the immediate cramping pain.
