Hello dear, I really appreciate your concern. Your doctor is suspecting heart disease in your cousin. Sometimes heart disease is associated with acute stomach pain and vomiting. So he wants to rule out heart disease. There is nothing wrong to have ECG done. Your cousin would be sure that he is not having heart disease and stomach pain was only due to some gastric problem only. So if your cousin is having risk factor for heart disease like old age, overweight, smoking, abnormal lipid profile, family history of heart disease then I advise him to get ECG done.
Hope my answer has solved your query. Take Care.
Thank you.
