What Causes Stomach Pain, Severe Vomiting And Diarrhea In A Child?
My 8yr son woke up this morning with stomach pain, and threw up. However, it was thick and green (I picked it up with a paper towel), with no stomach acid or smell of normal vomit, it smelled like poop. He has had diarrhea as well and continues to vomit. I checked with the school and there haven t been any reports of a stomach virus going around, nor has he eaten anything that would trigger a bad reaction (he had home made beef vegetable soup for dinner which I ate). Any suggestions?

Hello,
I think he can do a stool culture to check for infection. I believe it can be viral gastroenteritis.
Try to keep him hydrated. If he can't keep anything down he can do the infusion.
