What Causes Stomach Pain, Throat Pain, Tingling And Numbness In The Hands And Tongue?
I have been having severe stomach pain at the belly button for the past week. I can t eat because it makes me feel extremely sick. I have a burning pain that in my stomach and throat. I was prescribed protonix and carafate which doesn t help at all. I saw a gi dr who did a colonoscopy and everything was normal. No one can seem to figure out what is causing the pain. I also have tingling and numbness in my hands and tongue. I can not keep going like this I need some answers. Any ideas as to what could be causing it?

Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like gastroenteritis , food poisoning , irritable bowel syndrome, lactose intolerance or intestinal ileus. You should eat light and non spicy and avoid food like seafood and nuts. you should take plenty of fluids to avoid dehydration. I would suggest you to consult gastroenterologist for proper examination . Doctor may order stool test , ultrasound , endoscopy along with that take history . Doctor may prescribe laxative , ornidazole or albendazole along with ranitidine. Throat pain can also occur due to acid reflux or upper respiratory track infection. You should take antacid after every meal and keep your head elevated while lying down .
