What Causes Stomach Upset Along With Chest Discomfort And Anxiety?

Yes Im 48 year old female, been very healthy but in last month my symptoms are upset tummy, shoulder chest arm discomfort, anxiety pretty bad, dry mouth, stopped eating, some stiffness in hands and arms also, have lost 14 pounds unexpedtly, cannot sleep. Sometimes I feel like my throat is just shutting closed. Drs have implied I have Gastritus or that Im wacko.. I cannot work. Do you think this clould be all due to anxiety? I feel like Im having a nervous breakdown Have lots of stree going on right now w this, a son getting married in June, and a husband facing a job layoff. Help please.

Hi,

Though it may all be because of anxiety I think we should check first for anything else. The weight loss and stiffness are very unlikely to be due to anxiety only. So I would suggest you should get examined in detail and run some basic blood tests like sugar, calcium etc.

If they are all ok then we can be confident that nothing is grossly wrong. But we must rule out all these before putting it to anxiety.
