What Causes Stomach Upset Along With Vomiting And Diarrhea?

My son-in law has had a stomach bug since Sunday early morning. Vomiting and diarrhea, fever, and light headed. Feels good for a little bit so tries to eat crackers or even plain white rice, within 30-45 min he is back in the bathroom. Is there a new bug going around?

This is the Stomach flu. Keep him well hydrated with Oral rehydration Solution. He needs to wash his hands before meals. Take required antibiotics to eradicate infection as necessary.
