What Causes Stomach Upset And Headache While On Sulfamethoxazole?
I have recently had a groinal hernia operation and have been on sulfamethaxolone -tmp for about a week and a half for a possible infection. I did not feel well this weekend (chalked it up to something going around) with an upset stomach, headache, achy all over. This evening I have noticed that my skin is red on my stomach and back and I have red splotches on my legs. No itching at this time. Wondering if it is related to the meds, or something else.

I read your question and here is my advice.
It looks like a late allergic reaction to sulfamethoxazole.
Take any antihistamines like benadryl and citerisine.
If they don't regress within 24 hours go to ER for ultracorten and adrenaline shots.
