Hi, I was taking lorcet 10/325 3x a day for cervical herniation disc that is touching the spinal medulla; horrible pain specially in my neck and head. Now I am taking ultracet 37.5/325 and it upsets my stomagh, is that common taking in an empty stomagh; now that I can t find the narco in my area. Thanks for your respond
Tramadol induced side effects. Ultracet is a combination of an opioid (tramadol) and acetaminophen commonly prescribed to treat moderate to severe pain.
Nausea, vomiting and stomach upset appear to be due to the side effects of opioid tramadol present in this combination which can be prevented by either taking it after meals or along with an anti-emetic drug like domperidone.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
