What Causes Stomachache And Shivering After Inhaling A Deodorant?

my 13 yr old son was at a sleep over and a kid opened a can of AXE deodorant and sprayed non stop in the air which gave him a stomach ache and he felt shaky. He called me to pick him up and now he feels better after getting out of the house that had the spray in the air. Should he be checked or is he out of danger now that he feels better?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Just get him out and let breathe fresh air for the rest of the day. Open all the windows to disperse the axe odor.

Give him plenty of plain water. No need to send to the ER or doctor's for the moment unless you will note anything unusual.

Use saline nasal spray to clean his nose and rinse his nostrils with water.

He will get better for sure hopefully. Try to put dangerous objects in hidden places where small kids cannot reach them next time.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini,
