What Causes Stoppage In Periods?

Hey so i began the depo shot consistently at age 14 in August 2011 and stopped two yrs later once my shot expired in march 10 2014. I have not had any period and its October 7. its been over 6months, almost 7 without period. none at all. No spotting. Nothing.Although i do have this VERY thick, white, nonsmelly, pasty(not liquidy) discharge every day. This has been hapening about 3 months ago. and i also get very stringy, wet, gooey white discharge here and there.I tested negative for pregnancy, stds, yeast infection nd bv. I have Very Sore to the touch boobs. They even ache when i touch them especially in the nipple area and even sting when i take off my bra letting them hang... What MAY Just MAYBE the problem??

Hi,

The absence of menstrual cycle is a side effect of the shot. Also nipples and breast soreness is an effect of progesterone elevated levels.

After stopping the shot you need some months before the menstrual cycles become regular again.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
