What Causes Stoppage In Periods?

this question is not about me but about the girl i have been seeing for awhile now she has not had her minstrel cycle in 5 weeks so the doctors preformed a pelvic exam but upon completing this they for some odd reason pumped 3 liters into her butt i am concerned why did they do this please help me
