What Causes Strep Anginosus In Fetus That Led To Death?

hi i had a still born at 42 weeks pregnant the post mortem said he had strep anginosus, i have searched on line and i cannot find a reason as to how he would have caught this, i was not carrying the infection nor have i ever had it, ive had 2 healthy girls since and now im pregnant with a boy and i was wondering what are the chances of him getting it too, many thanks from sarah

It is sad to know about your pregnancy loss.

It is really difficult to find source of the infection. Causes of stillbirth like transplacental infections, Gestational diabetes, Uteroplacental insufficiency will need to be evaluated.
