What Causes Strep Throat And Rash All Over Body?

My daughter is 15, had strep and rash all over her body. Is being treated with amoxicillin 250 mg 3 times a day. She is on her 3rd day of medication. Her tailbone has been bothering her for a couple of weeks. Today her pain is so bad she is having a hard time sitting. I am concerned that her rash is not getting any better. Can you give me your thoughts?

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have strep throat and rash all over body. Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like scarlet fever , vital pharyngitis , food allergy or strep throat . I would suggest you to consult your doctor again if your are not getting benefited with present medicine . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe stronger antibiotics . Doctor may also prescribe anti allergic or immunosuppressants . For now apply cold compresses on rashes take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain and benadryl twice a day .
