What Causes Stretch Marks On The Thighs And Groin?

my son has stretch marks on his inner thighs up in the groin area; the lines have started to puff up and he has a few actual bumps that look like a large cyst or something. It is tight and painful to the touch. Any ideas? It typically takes a while to get in to see a dermatologist, so I m wondering if this is common and who might be able to provide answers for him over this holiday weekend...type doctor or facility? Thank you!
