What Causes Strong And Continuous Pain Below Ribs In Child?

my 12 year old daughter has had strong and continuious pain just below her ribs in the middle for 3 days now, we took her to the hospital yesterday and they said that it was gastrick , however today she has been in so much pain she cannot stop crying and calpol does not seem to be working?
