What Causes Strong Odor During Urination?

Hi I m 36 and just started having this weird smell when I urinte. I thought is was the asparagus the first two days but then I started very mild spotting. The smell is still there but not as strong. My husband noticed it the second day and we have decided not to be active until I can get into my gynecology appointment. Could you tell me what might cause these symptoms?

Vaginitis may cause smell in the urine. Do you have itch in the vagina? If it is then go for vaginal swab examination both cytological and bacteriological. Till then, maintain hygiene and drink plenty of water. It would be wise to have vaginal douches with some antiseptic solution.
