What Causes Strong Smelling Perspiration?

My husband has a pituitary adenoma and is on medication for thyroid gland, testoterone, tegretol for fits caused by scar tissue after operation in 1981, statins and recently hydrocortisone. His sweat at night is now an over powering sweet smell.Originally I thought of baby milk smell but now it is more like waffles. When he gets up the smell is really strong on the sheets. He has never had this smell before. He does sweat a lot but the smell is new. What could be causing this?

According to the history sometimes endocrine disorders may be the cause. To be sure everything is ok he should consult his treating doctor.
