Lately I have a strong urge to clench my teeth together (it is usually accompanied by grinding of the teeth as well). This has never happened before. I tried to resist the urge but when I did my bottom jaw started shaking as if I was cold. I do not believe I am under and serious stress and I do not have any illnesses. What could this be?
Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query. The cleanching habit can be because of the stress or abnormal coordination between muscles and nerves. Consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. If you are stressful, lead a stress free life. Mean while you can take a muscle relaxant like chlorzoxazone. Stress can worsen these conditions so be calm. I hope my answer will help you, take care.
