What Causes Sudden And Extremely Painful Cramps In Lower Stomach?
Once or twice a month for the past 3 years I ve experienced sudden and extremely painful cramps in my lower stomach which is then followed by diarrhea straight after. I can t find a link to anything I eat and often it occurs when I haven t even eaten at all. It can happen out of the blue and after the episode I can feel completely normal again. What is this?!
hi, thanks for writing in to HCM. I have gone through your complaints.
Kindly visit a gastroenterologist regarding your problem. He may prescribed Digestiive enzyme syrups and tablet proton pump inhibitors like omeprazole for gastric related problems. Also, a colonoscopy nd an Xray may be recommended to exclude irritable bowel syndrome and an ultrasound abdomen and pelvis.
Since you have not specified your gender, if you are a female it could be related to menstrual cycles also .
Hope this helped .
Regards , Dr.Riyanka
