What Causes Sudden Asociality Behaviour In A Person?

my brother who is completely inactive socially for the last 8 years. He is not going out of the house and does not mingle with anyone. He is well educated. BSC IT. He remains in his room all day. He had resigned his job and does not do anything for the last 8 years. He has not shaven for years and is looking abnormal.
