Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello I wear contacts and I can t see anything without them. My vision is a -9 and I currently do not have any glasses nor money to buy some new ones. I have been using my same contacts for almost a year now, and my left eye has suddenly got blurry. Could it be that my vision has changed? When I wakeup in the morning its a blind spot but goes away. I thought it was because I can t see in the morning, mixed with the brightness of the light shining in my face. I just recently had a nose bleed in my left nostril, I m not sure if this has anything to do with my left eye, but it s just to throw it out there. Also, I do not have any more right now to see a doctor. Can you please help me to understand this? Thank you.
Sudden blind spot in the eye might be cause of concern through changes in the intra-ocular pressure or some intra-cranial issues as there is history of left nose bleed as well. If you do not have private insurance, I would recommend you to visit your nearest primary health care center and get best guidelines after primary check up to prevent further damage to the eye sight and brain if any.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
