What Causes Sudden Blurry Vision?

I have been having times lately where my vision in my left eye, well it is like parts of vision is looking into a pool of water. a little bit ago my vision in left eye kept going out, not the whole view but in center top right and far left. Not sure if it is cause to go to the emergency room.
