What Causes Sudden Bouts Of Vomiting In A Child?

Hi my kid was active and just went to bed and within 10 minutes she vomited and was not responding well. Normally when she vomits she would get up and move but this time she was lying there. Even carrying her to the washroom she could not stand well and did not speak or answer. Her neck was not steady and eyes open but not responding to us. Then when we put her on bed she started sleeping and looked confused. She does not remember vomiting. She says she can not explain what going on. She is 7 years old. Pls let me know if it is ok to wait till morning

Hello There

After going through your medical query I understand your concern and I would like to tell you that it can be a seizure or fluid aspiration which is why she wasn’t responding. It’s recommended for you to go to ER ASAP.

Hopefully this information will guide you properly.

Kind Regards
Dr Bhanu Partap
