What Causes Sudden Bursting Of Blood From Ankle Bone When Bathing?

While Taking a shower the other day all of a sudden a sudden burst of blod shot out of my left ankle bone. I bacame worried , as it looked like a stream shooting out. I immediatelt got out of the shower and applied pressure and my wife called 911.. What is this called and what should I be concerned about?
