Hello,

Sudden confusion and memory loss are symptoms that need to be investigated properly. You will need to see a doctor soon and have the proper examinations to evaluate the brain with EEG and MRI and also have a heart examination with EKG, ultrasound and other tests as needed.
You may also need blood tests like fasting blood sugar, lipids, kidney function (Creatinine and electrolytes), etc.
After the test results the doctor can tell which is the likely cause and give you the proper treatment.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
