What Causes Sudden Diarrhea And Abdominal Bloating?

I have had a sudden onset of diarrhea the last two evenings before bed with excessive gasiness, bloating, and not normal gut noises. I believe I had food poisoning approximately 3 nights ago. It usually hits around 8 pm and my diet since Wednesday has been scarce.

T.Metronidazole 500 mg morning and night for 3 days
bifilac once a day for three days
take plenty of fluids to prevent dehydration
