What Causes Sudden Dizziness And An Altered Sense Of Taste?
What could be the cause, Sitting at my computer, at work, sitting down, I could not put my finger on the screen because I was so dizzy, room spinning in circular pattern. This was followed by bad taste in my mouth and vomiting (not much). Do you recognize these symptoms? If so, what possibility?

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
It is a vertigo attack. Did you have any history of neck stiffness or cold in recent past?
You need evaluation also for ear disorder especially if you also have impaired hearing.
Till then please take an anti-vertigo drug such as tab Cinnarizine three times or tab Betahistine three times. You should visit emergency.
