What Causes Sudden Episodes Of Raised Heart Beats And Dizziness?

My son, 7 (almost 8) has episodes of very fast and hard heatbeats (I can feel it thru his chest)...during those times, he says he feels dizzy, and has a hard time breathing. He says his arms feel weird, around his wrist and inside elbows, when this happens to. He gets very scared when it happens (about once every other day, or two days, or so) which seems to make it worse. It's all back to normal a couple of minutes later. Went to doctor, having blood work and chest x-ray. Already had EKG - normal; but I'm sure it would not be normal during times it happens. Should we request the 24 hour monitor? What if he doesn't have episode during that 24 hour time? He is active and good height and weight for his age. He is in very good shape.

I really appreciate your concern, you just have one option to clear your doubt for any heart disease and that is ECHO test get it done, if no clinical symptoms are there then this could be normal one because in this age heart disease always have some clinical sign and symptoms which needs immediate medical attention, hope this information helps, have a nice day.
