What Causes Sudden Extreme Pain And Swelling In Ankle?
This past Friday I was going along just fine walking doing chores feeling good. Got in my car later that day and all of the sudden I get this really intense pain in my right ankle and foot like I had been bitten or something. A minute later I could not even move my foot or ankle at all. The ankle started swelling so I went to the local ER they could not find anything. Took a few rays for what I don t know because I did not roll the ankle. I mentioned maybe a spider bite but the doctor saw no evidence. Now Tuesday my ankle is severely swollen and I have no feeling in the outside of my right ankle. Just made an appointment with my primary. What could it be?

Hi; it may be ? bite/ vasular / neurological in nature .consult physician/ neurologist first. later vascular surgeon.
