Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I have a friend from Cornelia, Georgia who recently passed out in the tub and was told by her husband that he had to revive her by doing CPR because, according to him, she had no pulse. I ve told her to go to the doctor but unfortunately, she has no insurance and thus she has no doctor. what do you suggest she do? It s worth noting that her husband has no medical training whatsoever so I wouldn t be surprised if he was mistaken about the whole thing. That said,I really think she should get checked out just to be safe.
Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic. I can understand your concern. Yes, she should definitely consult doctor and get herself checked. Fainting attacks are commonly seen with brain (transient ischemic attacks, absence seizure) and heart (hypotension, arrhythmia, coronary artery disease) diseases. So better to consult doctor and get done MRI brain, ecg, 2d echo, blood pressure monitoring etc. So convince her for doctor consultation. Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your friend. Thanks.
