What Causes Sudden Fogginess Followed By Headache And Nausea?

I had an episode at work yesterday. My head started to feel foggy, followed by seeing wiggly lines that got brighter and brighter. Total blindness for about 10 minutes, then began to subside, followed by a terrible headache, fogginess and nausea. Today is a bit better, as head still feels foggy and nausea all day. What could this be?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Whats your age and sex?
Do you work for long hours sitting in front of the computer?
Do you have refractive errors?Do you use spects?

You need to go for an ophthalmic examination to your ophthalmologist to get your retina and vitreous checked.
Kindly get your B.P and sugar levels checked,
Headache, fogginess and nausea can be due to abnormal sugar and B.P levels.
If these levels are within normal limit, you would require a C.T scan of the brain to be done to rule out any neurological cause.
Kindly review these reports with your physician.
Take care and get some rest if possible.
Feel free to ask for any queries further
