What Causes Sudden Heavy And Non Stop Bleeding During Periods?

Hi im 15 and only started my period about a year ago I normally miss periods and whn I do have them they are really light and only last a couple of dys but I'm on now really heavy and non stops bleeding my mum had cysts on her overies when she was younger and had to have them removed could ther be something wrong?
