Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If you have always had regular cycles and this is the first time you are experiencing some menstrual disturbance, it is likely to be a transient hormone imbalance which is often self-corrective. If the bleeding started after intercourse, you have to exclude local causes like erosion of the cervix, polyps of the cervix and endometrium, infections through a clinical exam. Sometimes, mid-cycle spotting/bleeding corresponding to ovulation occurs and is self-resolving and does not need any further treatment. Hope you find this information useful. Wish you good health.
