I ITCH ALL OVER MY BODY -- ABOUT A MONTH AGO I CUT AND TRIMMED MY OLIEANDERS AND THE BRANCHES AND OLD DEAD PARTS OF THE PLANTS CUT MY SKIN -- IM 76 YRS OLD AND THIS HAS HAPPENED BEFORE -- BUT WENT AWAY --- BUT NOT THIS TIME -- ITS BEEN GOING ON FOR OVER 2 MONTHS ---

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of sudden itching all over body which seems to be due to allergic reaction and contact dermatitis.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to

- Avoid itching or pricking skin.

- Apply cold compresses to rashes and take anti inflammatory medication twice a day.

- Avoid exposure to dry environment.

- Drink plenty of fluids.

I would suggest you to consult allergy specialist for proper examination. Doctor may order patch test, allergy test and blood test for IgE antibodies and may prescribe anti allergic medication along with corticosteroid ointment.
