What Causes Sudden Itching, Teary And Blurry Vision After Using Contacts?

I have been wearing contacts for several years. Lately, the contacts seem to be irritating my eyes. My eyes (particularly left eye) itches, tears at times and blurs. I have put in new lenses but that hasn t helped. I am using the same solution as always. What might be going on? Also, the inner corner of my eye is red (don t know the name of that part) and enlarged.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I believe that this can be related to any allergic reaction to this kind of lens you are currently using or to the solution. I believe you may need to retake the same brand you have been always used or the solution you have always used.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
