What Causes Sudden Left-sided Pressure In The Abdomen And Gas?

Hi I am 44 year old female and am suddenly experiencing a pressure type sensation on my left side under or behind the left side of my breast I have no pain or other symptoms but worried as this has been on and off for about 5 hours not sure what s wrong I am gaseous and recently changed my diet to lose weight. High fibre low sugar. At times it feels like a pulled muscle but I know it s not that. Thank you.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I think you may be checked by a cardiologist because the pain that you are referring may be related to heart disease. You may need to do an ECG immediately. If the heart problems are excluded the pain may be caused by the stomach, possibly gastritis.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
