What Causes Sudden Loss Of Consciousness?

I passed out and fell; concussion; thankfully discharged with no visible injuries. Neurologist said he thinks I lost consciousness before the fall most likely, but no clue what caused it! I have no memory of the fall itself.... He told me to follow up wit a cardiologist.........why???

Hello,

It can be either from syncope or fall in blood pressure. It can be also from due to hypoglycemia or fall in blood glucose level.

It definitely needs to be evaluated for the possibility of a heart issue and blood glucose sugar level.

I suggest you report to an emergency room for further evaluation and accordingly you would be treated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
